She has over 20 years’ experience as a solicitor in all areas of family law to include -

  • divorce

  • resolving  financial matters arising from divorce or separation of unmarried couples, dealing with a range of cases where the assets are of a high, mid and low net worth

  • applications for financial support for children under Schedule 1 Children Act  

  • Prenuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, 

  • domestic abuse to include providing support for male and female victims and  those alleged to have caused domestic abuse.  

  • all issues around arrangements for children including complex child arrangements parental alienation, international issues and domestic abuse.   

  • Care Proceedings to include allegations of non-accidental injuries, sexual and physical abuse and neglect and emotional abuse.


​Dawn has been a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel for over 13 years and has acted for all parties to include Parents, Grandparents, other family members, children and the Local Authority. She has experience of working with clients with learning and cognitive difficulties and clients experiencing mental health difficulties, and has previously combined her family work with that of a criminal defence advocate which provides her with experience and insight whenever the police become involved in family disputes.

Dawn prides herself on being supportive and empathetic to all her clients and is committed to seeking out the most appropriate and best outcome, being able to negotiate but also progress matters through the Courts. She regularly undertakes her own advocacy to provide a complete service and will, where circumstances dictate, also instruct a the most appropriate barrister to meet her client’s needs. 

When Dawn is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and keeping up  with her children’s various activities.
