Matt's specialty is in Criminal Litigation with a focus on major crime. 

He qualified in 1999 and has an impressive academic career that includes a BSc (Hons) Psychology, Common Examination in Law, Post Graduate Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, Higher Court Advocate and Duty Solicitor Qualified.  Previously, Matt was a partner at Berry & Lamberts and Head of the Criminal Litigation department.

He regularly represents clients in both Magistrates and Crown Court and has been a crown court advocate since 2005. His legal expertise includes regulatory and commercial crime, drug offences, fraud and financial crimes, murder and other homicide matters, sexual offences and major crime.

In his 20 successful year career, Matt has represented and won many high profile cases such as one of the defendants in the £53 million Securitas Robbery Trial, a suspect in the "Body in the Suitcase Murder" and a client in one of the UK's biggest fraud cases investigated by the Serious Fraud Office valuing 100's of millions of pounds.

​Matt is a keen sportsman actively pursuing padel, cycling, golf, football and basketball. He has previously played rugby at a high level representing his country. Matt is a devoted Francophile and fits all this in when not spending time with his family.
